MADRID, Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- X-ELIO, a global leader in renewable energy, has signed a multi-buyer Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with an Energize program cohort. This initiative enables four companies to purchase 245 GWh of renewable energy annually for the next 10 years. The companies involved in this agreement are Thermo Fisher Scientific, Haleon, Gilead Sciences and GSK.

X-ELIO will supply clean energy through its Lorca Solar project, which is set to begin operations by early 2026.

The agreement has been reached through a virtual PPA, a flexible mechanism that allows companies to source clean energy in support of their decarbonization goals. The energy will come from 35% of X-ELIO's Lorca Solar project, which has a total capacity of 369 MW and is expected to be operational by early 2026.
