Fourier raises $18.5m Series A led by Paramark Ventures and General Catalyst
April 2, 2025
At Fourier, we believe the future of energy should be sustainable. Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve raised $18.5m in Series A funding, in an oversubscribed round co-led by
General Catalyst (
Hemant Taneja) and
Paramark Ventures (
Chunsoo Kim) with significant participation from
Airbus Ventures,
GSBackers,
MCJ,
Borusan Ventures,
Positive Ventures and others.
We’re here to tackle the world’s toughest energy challenges with brilliant and practical engineering solutions at scale that work for everyone. This funding marks a critical milestone in our mission to drive Energy Resilience.
The world’s energy demands are skyrocketing. As AI, advanced technologies, and evolving industries reshape our world, we need energy solutions that are more reliable, secure, affordable, scalable, and ever cleaner.
Hydrogen holds enormous potential to meet these demands — a fuel so energy-dense, and clean, it should be everywhere. But high costs, inefficient production, and complex distribution logistics have long stood in the way of its widespread adoption.
Until now.
On-Site, On-Demand Hydrogen
Emerging from stealth today, Fourier is launching its opening act: an on-site, on-demand hydrogen production system — designed to reimagine energy distribution and storage where, when, and how we need it most.
At the core of our technology is an ultra-modular, software-defined system architecture that sets our hydrogen production apart from anything currently available.
Our system is driven by advanced algorithms that optimize performance in real time, constantly adjusting to deliver the highest efficiency and reliability. This architecture doesn’t just operate the system—it monitors and predicts performance, minimizing downtime and ensuring peak operational efficiency at all times.
Our modular system can be easily configured and scaled to meet the specific needs of each site or application—whether it’s powering a fleet of hydrogen vehicles or providing energy for industrial operations. This modular approach reduces upfront costs, simplifies deployment, and ensures scalability as demand grows.
By removing the logistical constraints of traditional hydrogen production, we’ve opened the door for hydrogen to become a viable, cost-effective solution for industries like transportation, heating and cooling, and power storage.
Fueling Our Next Phase
Momentum is building. We’re already seeing tremendous customer demand, with early pilots yielding exceptional results across industries like specialty chemicals, pharma manufacturing, metals, and ceramics.
These successful pilots validate our approach and underscore the urgent need for a reliable, scalable, and cost-effective hydrogen solution.
With this new funding, we’re scaling manufacturing, accelerating commercial deployments, and expanding our engineering efforts to push efficiency even further. We’re also forging strategic partnerships to integrate our systems into critical energy infrastructure, bringing our technology to even more industries, faster.
Driven by Engineering Audacity
Fourier was founded on the principle of engineering audacity — the belief that the boldest engineering minds can solve the world’s toughest problems for the benefit of people everywhere.
With today’s announcement, we’re taking a meaningful step toward that ambition.
